Is Free actually free?

Yes — no card, no time limit. You capture up to 25 ideas and can read, recall and continue every one of them forever. Pro lifts the cap and upgrades the AI handoff; nothing else changes.

What exactly does Pro add?

Two things. New capture no longer stops at 25 ideas, and the “continue from here” line in every handoff is written by a frontier model instead of the model on your Mac. Recall, history, connections, the return nudge and MCP are the same on both plans.

Can I get a refund, or cancel?

Cancel any time from your account — you keep Pro until the period you've paid for ends. And if Pro isn't right for you, ask within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund, no questions asked. The details are on the refunds page.

What happens when I hit 25 ideas?

Everything you've captured stays fully usable — search, evolution, recall, continue, all of it. Only new capture pauses until you upgrade. Nothing is deleted.

What leaves my Mac?

Recall, search and your idea history stay local and work offline. To turn a new conversation into an idea, its text is sent to Thread's server and processed by Anthropic's Claude — unless you're offline or haven't added an email, when the model on your Mac does it instead. No third-party analytics, no ad trackers, nothing sold. Full detail on the privacy page.

How do I pay, and can I cancel?

Checkout runs on this site through Paddle, our payment provider. Cancel anytime from your account page — Paddle handles the billing portal, invoices and tax. You keep Pro through the period you paid for.

How do the website and the Mac app connect?

Your account is an email. Buy Pro here, then in Thread for Mac go to Settings → Add email and enter the same address. The Mac and the website point at one account.

Which Macs are supported?

Any Mac on macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later — Apple silicon or Intel. Thread lives in the menu bar and stays out of your way.
